Dear Woodbridge Parents,

I am excited to be joining the Woodbridge school community as the new Principal (pending board approval).   I began teaching in Baltimore City but have worked in the Baltimore County School System for the last 10 years as both a teacher and Administrator (and may have taught you or members of your family at Woodlawn High School)! I previously served as the Assistant Principal at Edmondson Heights Elementary School; however, my most recent assignment has been as Assistant Principal at Deep Creek Elementary School on the eastside of the county.  I couldn’t be happier to be coming back home to the westside to join the Woodbridge Family.
First, I would like to meet as many of you as possible before school starts.  I hope that one of the dates below will fit into your calendar for you to visit the school and introduce your family to me.   This will be an informal “Meet & Greet” for you to come at any time during the time posted.  Please bring as many members of your family as you like along with your children that are Woodbridge students.

Tuesday, July 29th anytime between 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Thursday, August 7th anytime between 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Wednesday, August 13th anytime between 9:30 am – 11:00 am

I look forward to meeting all of you and working with you to make this school year an exciting and productive one for your child.  If you have specific questions or concerns and are not able to make one of the above meetings, please do not hesitate to contact me directly at the school.  I am thrilled to be the new leader at Woodbridge and I look forward to seeing you soon!

                                                            Sincerely,

                                                            Lori A. Phelps

Woodbridge is very fortunate to be a Professional Development School in
cooperation with Towson University. Many of our faculty members serve as mentors for those college students who are going to be our future educators. The interns work with our classroom teachers to learn how to deliver instruction that meets the needs of our students.
