Hello My Name Is...

Elisa Weisel

Weisel

I am so proud to be the school counselor here at Woodbridge!!! Even though you see me in Ravens gear, I was born, raised, and lived in New England for most of my life. I attended college at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY, where I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology. I completed my Masters degree in Counseling Education, with additional certification in career counseling at Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, MA. While residing in Massachusetts, I practiced as a career counselor and a secondary school guidance counselor. When I moved to Maryland, I briefly switched careers, going back to school at Trinity University to complete a post-secondary masters program in special education. I came to Baltimore County in 2008, working as a special educator for 4 years, before coming back to the field of counseling in 2012. I have been at Woodbridge since 2015 and plan to stay here for many years to come. I am here to deliver a comprehensive quality counseling program to your children, helping each child to be successful in their years spent at Woodbridge, as well as making sure your children are equipped with the tools and confidence to be successful throughout their lives.
During this school year, I will be teaching monthly guidance lessons in grades K-5, proving individual and small -group guidance lessons to students as needed, continuing monthly character trait awards, with an emphasis on career character traits, and I also will be implementing a new program called Champions of Kindness.
